“Sensual Wisdom: What I’ve Come to Learn About Myself”
This book is collection of experiences and advice about love, lovers, coming of age and the music that tells the stories of women’s sensuality. Aunties, grandmothers, mothers and female elders contributed their thoughts and memories to the text. Interviewees share how to get the best out of your partner, ideal relationships and how to navigate sex and sensuality from early adulthood, through marriage, children, menopause and beyond.

Completed Quantitative Survey Research for Doctoral Dissertation Entitled “Educational Differences in Modern and Traditional Views of Relationships among African American Women”
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
• 15 + years working in clinical mental health settings with a focus on sex, sensuality, and relationships.
• International Work Experience at the American University of Cairo, British International School of Dubai and as a Mental Health Clinician at United States Military Bases Nationally and Abroad.
• Experience teaching Introduction to Psychology, Theories of Personality, Psychological Statistics, Human Growth and Development, Addictions & Substance Use Disorders, Social & Cultural Diversity Issues, Co-Occurring Disorders, General Psychology & Psychopathology
• Taught psychology courses to over 60+ undergraduate students using the latest techniques (posing problems, listening, and questioning to assess students’ prior knowledge). Taught statistics concepts including central tendency, t-tests, prediction, and chi-square tests.
• Worked as principal investigator on 2 research projects (1 quantitative cross-sectional descriptive research project (completed in full) and 1 quantitative correlational research project (This is an international research project, which is currently pending local ethics approval). Worked as a research assistant for 4 (quantitative and qualitative) research projects.
• Advised 40+ masters level students on developing original research ideas, supporting their chosen research methodology, sampling methods, inclusion and exclusion criteria, sample size calculations, selecting the correct statistical test, analyzing their data, and displaying their results appropriately. This led to over 80% of students’ research proposals being approved by the university review panel and over 70% of students completing the dissertation research and analysis process in full.
